Exploration in Enamel Portraits

New exploratory work evaluated the use of traditional vitreous paints and enamels to create rich portraits in a diverse range of complexions.

This portrait began with a foundation of traditional vitreous paints:
  • Reusche 1059 - Stencil Black
  • Reusche R1110 - Bistre Brown
  • Reusche DE402 - Bistre Brown

The base layers were rounded out with enamels to give the face a warm glow.

  • Fusemaster FM37 - Florida Orange
  • Fusemaster FM30 - Terra Cotta
